Sedan Cars Comparison: Hyundai Aura vs Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Subcompact vehicles are vastly popular in India. This can be credited to the sub-four metre taxes that allow car makers to pack a lot more in a car for a lot less. As of recently, this segment, whether it's in the sedan or SUV side of things, has been seeing a lot of competition. And in the sub-four metre compact sedan segment, though the Maruti Suzuki Dxire has had a lead, it's seeing some stiff competition from the new kid on the block. The new kid on the block being the new Hyundai Aura. While one has been a top of its class all-rounder, the other is a fresh new face and a packed offering. Which one comes out on top though? Find out more in this Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Hyundai Aura comparison.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire's latest variant has seen a facelift that really sets it apart from its previous variants. The newer Dzire features a curvier look similar to its hatchback sibling's new look. This time around, the Dzire gets a lot more chrome as well, with chrome accents on the front end and a chrome bar on the rear end connecting the tail lights. The fog lights get black panels on the front end as well, and a new front grille adorns the bumper.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire dimensions come in at 3995mm length, 1735mm width and 1515mm height while offering a boot space of 378 litres.

The Hyundai Aura, though looking fresh and modern, gets a majority of its design from its hatchback sibling, the Grand i10 NIOS. As is visible from the front fascia and two-thirds of the side profile, including the swooping roof line, the Aura's origins in the i10 are very clear. Things change beyond the C pillar and the rear end tail lights. On the front end, the Aura gets twin boomerang LEDs on the bumper rather than the i10's singles.

The Hyundai Aura dimensions are 3995mm in length, 1680mm in width and 1520mm in height. Boot space in the Hyundai Aura is slightly higher than the Dzire, at 402 litres.

The Aura also gets steering wheel controls for the infotainment system. Further, the Aura also gets a wireless phone charger and safety features such as a reverse parking camera and keyless entry. what the Aura gets that its sibling the i10 doesn't get is cruise control, albeit in higher variants.
