Important Points to be Noted
For most US CPA applicants, Prometric Centers provides US CPA exam data files within 24 hours.
All exam data files received from Prometric Centres following the cutoff dates will be deleted.
You would receive your score approximately seven days just after the target date for Business Environment and Concepts section of the US CPA exam because of the additional analysis required for the Business Environment and Concepts written language tasks.
Steps to Find Out the Results
Your first step would be to Log in to the exam applicants portal on the NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) website to find out your score and move further with the below details and information.
The AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) uses your Examination ID to score your US CPA Exam.
The exam scores are then transferred for authorization to the Boards of Accountancy before the authorized release of the candidates. These processes will take about three to four days before the actual exam score is officially declared.
When the NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) accepts the exam scores, they are then processed corresponded to the names of the exam applicants.
Once these processes are approved by NASBA, you will then see an ‘eye’ icon. Make sure to click the icon to open the notice.
Download it and then print it out.
The reason you can’t get the US CPA exam results right after the exam is that firstly, the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) accepts exam data files from Prometric Centers. Prometric centers are the ones that run the US CPA Exam.
Moving forward, the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) forwards the exam results to NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) to provide the official scores to the state boards of accounting.
