At times, the contamination can prove to be very strong and stubborn, and the car wash soap or detergent mix consumes a lot of time to clean it. In such a case, simply sprinkle baking soda on the rough side of the green scrubber and rub it on the rims several times. Most of the contamination will loosen up when you do so. After that, you can rinse it with high-pressure water. 


However, make sure that the green scrubber you are using is not too rough. Baking soda is abrasive and will remove the grime from the rims quickly compared to the detergent mixture. But if you scrub it hard, it can even wear away the aluminium surface, giving the rim a corroded unpleasant look.
