The educational activity of KZ SOIPPO is one of the main activities of the institute, which provides postgraduate education, higher education and other educational needs of education workers. Educational activities are implemented in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On Higher Education", "On Complete General Secondary Education", Presidential Decrees, and other regulations of current legislation of Ukraine.

Educational activity of KZ SOIPPO is directed on the certain contingent of persons :
students - employees of the education sector of Sumy region, who are on refresher courses according to the list of specialties of managerial and pedagogical staff of all types of educational institutions approved by the Academic Council of the institute;
students - applicants for higher education in accredited educational and professional programs and licensed specialties, which are enrolled in the institute by order of the rector.
Ensuring advanced training and internships of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers in the field of education of Sumy region, introduction of a flexible system of continuing education - the main task of the departments of the institute: pedagogy, special education and management; theories and methods of educational content; social and humanitarian education; psychology; educational and information technologies.
Training of specialists at the second (master's) level of higher education is provided by scientific and pedagogical workers in accordance with the regulatory requirements for the introduction of educational activities in the field of higher education. Educational activities for the training of specialists of the second (master's) level according to accredited educational and professional programs are provided by scientific and pedagogical employees of the graduating departments of the institute: pedagogy, special education and management; psychologists with relevant education, scientific degrees, academic titles, experience of scientific and pedagogical activity over two years, publications in the specialty, have undergone advanced training during the last five years, etc.
Educational activities to improve the skills of teachers working in primary school according to the new State Standard of Primary Education are provided by regional trainers who were specially trained by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, trainers-teachers who were involved in the educational process. in connection with the introduction of the Concept of implementation of state policy in the field of reforming general secondary education "New Ukrainian School" and taught teachers to implement the State Standard of Primary General Education according to the approved schedule of the Sumy Regional State Administration.
Management functions for the organization, planning and control of educational activities at the institute in accordance with accredited educational and professional programs, curricula of training / specialties, coordination of educational, methodological and organizational work of teachers of departments is performed by the educational department .
