To be able to apply for such a loan, you should draw up documents and submit them to the bank. It is also necessary to attach a certificate of income of the student's family. The bank may ask for a document confirming the student's status. In addition, credit information may be required.
UP-STUDY specialists emphasize that loan applicants cannot apply for a student loan throughout the year. Interested young people can only do so from 15 July to 20 October each year. The application form differs depending on the chosen bank.
The main advantage of a student loan is payment in installments by the government. Interestingly, it can reach 100%. In which cases? Students without parental care can take advantage of this. In this case, the level of income does not matter. Full support will also be provided to those students whose family income per person does not exceed PLN 1,500. What about others? If the income per person is between PLN 1500 and PLN 2000, co-financing is 90%.
The maximum repayment period for student loans is 6 years. If the student chooses doctoral studies, this period can be extended up to 4 years. Students receive money monthly, for a maximum of 10 months a year. It is worth remembering that in the case of leave for health reasons or illness, the loan is not paid.
As regards the amount of the contribution received, its base value is PLN 600. However, for some time it is possible to apply for a higher (PLN 800-1000) or reduced (PLN 400) version. Student loan payments begin two years after graduation. Of course, if the student decides to stop them, he will lose the "payment" and must start paying off the obligation.
