Loan only for students?

As the name suggests, student loans are for people who are studying at an educational institution to achieve a degree and qualification (generally up to age 25). They can be students of both public and private universities .. The training system also does not play a role. Students can apply for a loan daily, in the evening and on weekends. The product is also available for graduate students. Who else can use this option? Students and pupils of the National Defense University, Academy of the Naval Forces. It is also worth remembering that only those potential borrowers who have a certain income per family member can get a student loan. This amount changes annually. Currently it is PLN 2500 net.

How to get a student loan?

To be able to apply for such a loan, you should draw up documents and submit them to the bank. It is also necessary to attach a certificate of income of the student's family. The bank may ask for a document confirming the student's status. In addition, credit information may be required. 

UP-STUDY specialists emphasize that loan applicants cannot apply for a student loan throughout the year. Interested young people can only do so from 15 July to 20 October each year. The application form differs depending on the chosen bank.

What are the terms of a loan in the Republic of Poland?

The main advantage of a student loan is payment in installments by the government. Interestingly, it can reach 100%. In which cases? Students without parental care can take advantage of this. In this case, the level of income does not matter. Full support will also be provided to those students whose family income per person does not exceed PLN 1,500. What about others? If the income per person is between PLN 1500 and PLN 2000, co-financing is 90%. 

The maximum repayment period for student loans is 6 years. If the student chooses doctoral studies, this period can be extended up to 4 years. Students receive money monthly, for a maximum of 10 months a year. It is worth remembering that in the case of leave for health reasons or illness, the loan is not paid.

As regards the amount of the contribution received, its base value is PLN 600. However, for some time it is possible to apply for a higher (PLN 800-1000) or reduced (PLN 400) version. It is worth remembering that students who have already received a loan can also apply for a reduction or increase in fees.

What does the redemption process look like?

Student loan payments begin two years after graduation. Of course, if the student decides to stop them, he will lose the "payment" and must start paying off the obligation. This happens one month after the student has to register the student card with the bank. Where to get a student loan? Banks that offer this type of solution are PKO BP, Pekao SA. Bank Polskiej Spó?dzielczo?ci and SGB-Bank.

Summing up, it is worth noting that fair fees at private Polish universities allow students to do without loans. Moreover, in order to cover part or all of the study costs, you can try to win a grant , receive a scholarship, or achieve an individual discount. Well, in case of urgent need, you can apply for a student loan according to the scheme described above.
