Solution 1 – Utilize the QBFD Tool

Use the QuickBooks File Doctor Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix company file and network-related issues. For this, open the tool hub and access the QuickBooks Company File Issues tab to run the file doctor. Wait for the repair to run and re-access QuickBooks to check the error status. 

Solution 2 – Run Your Server in Multi-User Mode

Make sure that your server is running in a multi-user environment to resolve the QuickBooks network connection error.

1.    On your workstation other than the hosting computer, open the QuickBooks File menu and go to the Utilities tab.
2.    Find the Host Multi-User Access option on the workstations and enable it.
3.    If you find the Stop Hosting Multi-User Access option, disable it.

Solution 3 – Make Sure that Your Portable Drive is Connected 

If you have stored your company file on an external storage device, check if the drive is connected properly. For this, try to reconnect the device and save other files on your device to see if it’s working correctly. Make sure that your drive has enough space available to store your company file. 

Solution 4 – Use the Data Recovery Tool to Fix Data Corruption

If your company file data is corrupted, it can cause the QuickBooks network connection failure. Use the QuickBooks auto data recovery tool to resolve this issue.

1.    Find the Company File Issues tab on the QuickBooks Tool Hub and open it.
2.    Select the Quick Fix my File option and let the tool repair the company file damage.
3.    Now, open your company file folder and find the QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery folder.
4.    Look for the .TLG and .QBW file extensions and paste the files into a new folder.
5.    Run the Verify Data utility from the QuickBooks File menu and fix the company file issues.
