When we are sitting somewhere, we see some people who go to sleep while sitting.  Not only in front of us but all the time they are asleep.  Or they want to sleep all the time.
It is a disease that causes untimely deep sleep called Neurological Sleep Disorder.

What are the symptoms of this disease?

Patients with this disease go straight to REM (Rapid eye movement). It is a state of sleep in which a person stays asleep but their eyelids are constantly moving in sleep. It's called a restless sleep.
The other state of sleep is called Non-Rem sleep. This state of sleep is called non-REM sleep. It's actually a restful sleep, in which a person sleeps more peacefully.

What is cataplexy?

There is another state of sleep called cataplexy in which a person immediately falls asleep.

Symptoms of Cataplexy are:

Sudden onset of drowsiness
Loosening of body parts and muscles

Who is most affected by narcolepsy?

Narcolepsy affects both men and women.  Most young people suffer from it and unfortunately don't know that they have narcolepsy.

What are the causes of narcolepsy?

One of the reasons for this is that sudden sleep deprivation is linked to busyness, work fatigue, or nervous or physical weakness.
And that is why regular medical examinations are not done by a specialist doctor.
According to research, when our brain cells have a substance called hypocretin. Starts emitting less than necessary.
According to experts, this is the chemical that controls our sleep and waking system. If there is a defect in it, the result is that the affected patient loses control of sleep. This problem gets worse over time.

Can narcolepsy cause many other problems and sleep paralysis?

According to doctors, no cure has been developed yet. But better results can be obtained, if the instructions of the doctors are followed.
Counseling therapies prescribed by doctors and lifestyle changes can reduce the risk.
Vitamin D is beneficial in narcolepsy.
Vitamin D can be controlled to a great extent by using foods or supplements.
