The ylang-ylang tree gives us its leaves that have a relaxing effect on the body & mind. It has been known for centuries that ylang-ylang leaves have a positive effect on people with high-pressure jobs and those who are under tremendous stress. In addition, ylang-ylang leaves have a relaxing effect on the digestive system.
The ylang-ylang essential oil is extracted from the leaves of this tree and is used for aromatic and therapeutic purposes. Ylang-ylang is a tree native to Indonesia and the Philippines and its flowering branches and white flowers give off a sweet fragrance that is very pleasant.
The ylang-ylang tree grows up to 7 meters high and has dark green leaves with white spots on them during summertime. The flowers of this tree are what we get the ylang-ylang essential oil from. The flowers will turn yellow and the flowers are what give off the sweet smell.
It is said that ylang-ylang trees were planted in Sri Lanka, Myanmar ( Burma ), and India before colonization. Nowadays ylang-ylang trees are found in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Madagascar, the Comoros Islands, and other regions of southeast Asia.

We shifted our focus to Tanamu Tanami soaps with moisturizing effects in 2004, aiming at customers using glycerin soap every day with dry skin problems following medical advice.
It is more natural, with better ingredients; green tea for whitening effect, red bean for nutrition, green tea powder for exfoliating, green tea extract for moisturizing. It also contains olive oil and coconut oil to protect the skin from dryness. The soap lathers well and does not dry skin after rinsing off, unlike other soaps.

This is not an antibacterial soap so it is not required to have any preservatives to prevent the activity of bacteria. Even if any bacteria are present on the soap, they are eliminated with rinsing because the soap lathers well and produces foam which washes away germs. This is why it can be used to clean babies too.

You do not have to put it on hair directly because too many ingredients may damage hair if you don't rinse it thoroughly first. You can soak feet first with water for a while before using it as foot wash, or take a shower after removing make-up with this soap for full cleansing effect.

We make several batches of soap before selling them to avoid any contamination or to adjust the number of ingredients depending on the customer's demand. If you make sure to make 2 bars of soap at once, you can compare how well it lathers by putting some in the palm of your hand and applying it on your face to see if it foams without any problem.
