Arvind Kejriwal launches ’Green Delhi’ app to redress pollution complaints

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday launched the 'Green Delhi' mobile application, using which citizens can bring polluting activities to the notice of the government.
The Chief Minister said that the government wanted to involve everyone in the fight against pollution as "there can be no major change without the support of the people".
He said that citizens can click pictures or make videos of pollution-causing activities, such as burning trash, industrial pollution, dust, etc., and uploading them on the application.
He said that the application will identify the location and the complaint will be automatically sent to the concerned department for timely redress.
“We have prepared strict timelines for each type of complaint. Kejriwal said that the concerned departments will have to post a picture after the complaint. The application can be downloaded from the Google Play store.
A 'Green War Room' has been set up at the Delhi Secretariat to monitor the status of complaints. He said that a team of 70 'Green Marshals would assist in their redressal.
