We had to wait for 13 to see this new version of the half-life series. But one thing I should make clear that it is not the sequel of the Half-life series. Half-life Alyx is a game that is based on virtual reality. The company when first reveal the episode of the half-life they set the bar high and said that the next episode should be in virtual reality.Now after 13 years they have achieved it by now launching the new Half-life Alyx.
In Half-life series: Alyx is set fiveyears before Half-life 2. In which Gordon freeman works from a long twenty years period. And he finds that earth has become a colony of the Aliens named the Combine. Alyx Vance was the daughter of the Freemans friend. But now Alyx.she is now a member of the anti combine force and she has an eye on GordonFreeman. when AlyxVance'sfather was caught. She came to a big secret of the combine. That after some timeseemsto be more complicated than it seemed at the first appearance...
Alyx is in the dystopia the same as in the Half-life 2.The city named city 17 that is somewhere in the European metropolis. In this game, we are going to have the same Alien fauna and the same soldiers carrying the same artifacts that were in the classic Half-life. The first two episodes of the same game were on different worlds but the Half-life Alyx is now adding into both the chapter its not a complete game it is adding in the previous episodes.
NOW in Half-life Alyx, the Alyx is now more on the human side as it appears than he Freemans character.
And now in Alyx, the setting of the city 17 has been changed the area that was known as the pit spot in Half-life 2 is
not in the Half-life Alyx. Alyx has now got the abilities of top-level in the fighting. She has now got a relation with the Alien colony as she has grown up there. And now she can bring some similarities and context to the journey.
When I played the game for about three hours. I felt like I was playing more than a game .i played the section of the game which was meant to introduce new ideas about how the game should be played in VR. Alyx before this I never used virtual reality for more than 15 to 20 min. Because I get tired of virtual reality .it gets me tires when you are having a plastic on your face and you have to reach awkwardly around you. While using virtual reality you are not allowed to check your whine or you can have a cup of tea and not eat anything. But I was not bored when I played Half-life Alyx I was excited and I was not willing to stop.
Virtual reality disappears us into the game in those ways that are impossible to achieve in a standard screen. Alyx might not be like what you are expecting it to be but there are a lot more things that are really exciting to see. A room that we can run in a minor in few seconds in games that are of VR. But in Vr games, we would take almost five or more minutes to run through a room or might took a longer time to explore things. And there is a more exciting view that is quite interesting to see. After all, this now let us talk about some issues in the game that we are going to face in it. There is going to be some little issue in the geometry of the game .and another issue could be with losing hardware tracking for the being.
Aiming at Enemies is going to be Harder
Aiming and shooting at the enemies is going to be more difficult than in standard games. Because we have played games that use the mouse or stick for shooting from our childhood. And in this Half-life Alyx, you can not knock down your foes with a gravity Gun just like In Half-life. The battles in the game become more intense as you try to fight and reload your ammunition while sitting behind the cover. and I really mean it crouch because this game will let you do it. You would have to move continuously by using an analog stick but the blink system will give you or provide you with the instant moving through gaps. I got no motion tiredness with the blink option.
IN THIS Alyx you are going g to have gloves that would replace the gravity gun in the Half-life 2. In the Half-life
Alyx you won't have to point or click an item or pull your hands towards the thing you just simply just extend your hand until the thing glows slightly then pull the trigger. Flick your hands and you can grab the thing in the mid-air by just squeezing the grip Button. This option at first will not be easy but when you will grab things that would be more satisfying. And the gloves that I mentioned earlier are very useful when you trying to crouch or trying to throw the enemy's things back at them and by things I mean by the grenades that are very lethal in the game.
