How to Gain More Subscribers on YouTube?

We want to get more subscribers on YouTube when we take the first steps in this social network. I remember how excited I was when I started my YouTube channel.

My mind was going a thousand an hour thinking of thousands of contents, one more striking than the other. Content would be so good and interesting that thousands of people would come to my channel to watch video after video without stopping.

Next, I want to present you with a series of techniques and tips so that you can directly or indirectly increase your YouTube subscribers.

I say indirectly, because not everything you read below has an immediate impact. But they are tips that you should follow to have a channel with all the conditions to be attractive in viewers' eyes.

Don't forget that the best way for people to follow you or become part of your community is by doing the right things.

So I invite you to see these techniques, and I hope you put them into practice to see the results in the short, medium, and long term.

Tip # 1 - The content you publish has quality and usefulness

This may seem easy and obvious. But the amount of videos that are of poor quality and that are published on the net without valuable or interesting content for Internet users is unfortunate.

I know that it is not cinema, nor do I pretend that it is, but in general, it tries to take care of the lighting, the framing, the shots, the audio, etc., when recording.

If you are not an expert, seek help or advice from a friend, social communicator, or filmmaker.

If, on the other hand, the channel is from a brand. The dimension is greater. You must create unique content, and it is recommended to monitor the trend or popular issues in other networks or public opinion to generate a video that allows you to interact with your users.

Create videos that address the needs or clarify doubts of your audience, also. If you have experts, you can create advisory series of frequent questions and answers to increase the usefulness and credibility of the brand.

Something like this happened on my YouTube channel:

My first videos were made with PowerPoint with software to capture the screen, and a low-quality microphone.

I then replaced the microphone with a Blue yet, which significantly improved the audio quality.

Later I bought a Canon 100D (LSI1) SLR camera and also a Rode Videomic microphone, which gave my videos better quality and allowed me to appear in them.

Finally, the last quality implementations were a Boya tie-type microphone and the purchase of a 50mm lens.

Below you can see my first video. Seriously take a look, you will see that despite having thousands of visits ( For the quality content ) in itself, the quality of the video is not a great thing, compared to my last videos, but the contribution of the content is valuable, and therefore it is my video with the most views so far.

Tip # 2 - Create an eye-catching trailer

As I write this article, this is a pending matter that I have.

Well, not so much.

I did not make a trailer for YouTube. But I did put a video that I love of the ones I did so that potential subscribers on YouTube can take a look at what is on my channel.

Designing a trailer of expectation or telling a story could attract more visitors to your channel.

A trailer also allows you to show your audience details about the content you offer.

The trailer must have a clear call to subscribe to the channel, seek to entertain the visitor to show what it is about or what type of stories you tell, how often, etc., instead of telling them directly.

Finally, it would be ideal for the trailer to be something concise and brief to get people's attention and try to have more subscribers on YouTube through an excellent call to action.

Tip # 3 - Take care of and build the appearance of your channel

It will help if you create your own style. And that reflects your personality or that of your brand in the look of the channel. It is not advisable to leave the background and the elements that YouTube offers by default. The idea is that if it is a brand or personal, it is created under elements that reflect that.

Think about what you want visitors to feel or do when they visit your channel, and that image should invite that or make them at least connected to that theme or type of content, which is aesthetically pleasing.
???????

It would help if you then take care that there is an alignment or coherence between the content and the channel's look.

You must be careful that the images you upload for these channel backgrounds are not too large so that they can be loaded from other devices where it is currently consulted, such as mobile phones, tablets, etc.

So my advice is that if you want to have more subscribers on YouTube, you should take good care of the elements such as:

A good cover photo of the channel.

Include a good profile photo.

Activate brand presence in all your videos.

Take good care of the thumbnails of your videos.

Include your social networks or links in your profile.

Take care of the graphic line style, even within your videos.

Tip # 4 - Take advantage of annotations and cards

Use them both, as these will allow you to superimpose links, text, or access points on top of the video you uploaded.

These elements help enrich the experience or complement information and interactivity. You can also take advantage of them to publicize or share your official website, link the subscription button of your channel, or invite users to obtain more information or register.

YouTube, in its log observations, explains that by encouraging visitors to see more. You can help increase the time spent on your channel, search rankings, and suggested videos, which translates into more visits and members of Audiences of interest that could make you have more subscribers on YouTube.

What are annotations on YouTube?

Annotations are an ideal complement to your YouTube channel, where you can generate different types of actions in the form of boxes or texts superimposed on your video.

For example, you can include a comment (Although I prefer to do it in the video in post-production ) highlighting something important.

You can also put annotations of the focus type so that when you point or an element appears on the screen. People can click (For example, showing a subscribe button).

The downside of the annotations is that they have no effect on mobiles, tablets, and TV, but they are still an engaging resource for people who enter from computers.???????

I usually use them when I point to the subscribe button, inviting people to see my video.

On the YouTube page itself, you can learn more about annotations.

What are the cards?

YouTube cards are another interesting complement to generate actions and interactivity within your videos.

These cards appear at times that you mark in the video and invite people to take action.

They are like a more advanced version of annotations and look good on both mobile phones and computers. Of course, remember that you can only add a maximum of 5 cards per video.

If you want to learn more about it, I advise you to visit the Cards section on the YouTube website.

Tip # 5 - Don't leave your channel

This is the most important tip if you want to have more subscribers on YouTube.

YOU MUST CONSTANTLY POST

It is very unfortunate to see how some organizations or brands do not update their YouTube channel. And a user may feel disappointed or disinterested in subscribing to your channel if the last video publication was months or years ago.

Official, frequent, and consistent updating information is a good way to increase traffic, reputation and have more subscribers on YouTube.

You can establish a feasible publication plan with alignment and coherence with the style of the Youtubers or brand.???????

In my case, I am trying to maintain one video per week on my YouTube channel ( Every Sunday ).
