Your printer can get issues while receiving the data if its services are not working correctly. The user should restart the printer to run stuck services. A simple restart may not run those services from the beginning. Go to the printer when the power is ON. Eject its power cord and then wait.

Also, remove printer cable from the computer. Reconnect the power cable to the Epson printer. When the printer starts automatically; reconnect the printer cable to the PC. Open the document and send the print command to the Epson device.

Run the Troubleshooter

When the Epson printer in an error state, you can use the troubleshooting tool. Many times, printer-related files on the PC stopped working. To fix those files; the user can run the utility tool. Open the security page and click on the Windows Troubleshooter. Choose a Printer and run the tool.

This tool will inspect all the files which can cause the error. The troubleshooter will repair them and now printer files will start working. Now reopen the document and click on the Print option. Choose the Epson device and check your printer for the printouts.

Repair your Epson Printer Driver

The Epson printer can show an error when receiving the data if its driver is not working. Without the driver, your Epson printer can’t read any of the commands and won’t give any printout. The user has to fix all the printer software to troubleshoot the error. Go to printer software on your system. Check the printer driver for its update. Get the latest update on the device and then check the data error.

If the Epson software is corrupted; use the repair tool. It will check for all drivers on the system and repair them. After repairing, the printer will start responding to the commands. If you can’t run the utility tool on the system then choose reinstallation. On the computer, click on Epson software and select the Uninstall option. Now open the computer and then install new Epson software for your printer. Restart the computer to apply changes and now try to use the Epson printer.

Check the Fuser and Printhead

The printer shows an error when the fuser stops working. The printer won’t print without the fuser. It requires heat to imprint the ink on the page. But using the printer simultaneously for a long time may overheat the fuser and it stops working. Shut down the printer for some time otherwise, the fuser may get burnout.

After cooling, you can easily run the printer. In case the fuser of Epson printer is completely damaged then replace it. Also, inspect the printhead of the Epson device. Use the utility tool to remove the clogged ink. Run the tool twice for better head cleaning. Retry to take printouts with Epson.

Reset the Epson Printer

When the printer is showing data receiving errors due to setting issues then reset the printer. Resetting will undo all the changes settings of your Epson. Go to the Epson printer and select the Control Panel. Now click on Setup and choose the Restore Default Settings option. Tap on the OK button and the Epson device will get reset. Many Epson printer models also provide the reset button on the rear side. Press the printer for Epson factory reset. Reconfigure the Epson to your computer and now take the printouts.

Don’t use a Firewall???????

When the data error is occurring on network printing then check the firewall protection. People use the firewall to add another layer of protection. But this firewall sometimes blocks other connections also. When the printer tries to connect; the firewall blocks the connection. To get the printer connected; turn off the firewall. Reconnect the Epson to network for taking printouts.
