From the very beginning our goal of windchill developer Syndeia is an API-first, cloud-native, user-friendly platform to develop and manage open digital threads that are federated for their systems or products by browsing, visualizing processing, and changing models/data that are stored in corporate tools or repositories.
Syndeia 3.2 launched the first Version of Syndeia Cloud that is an API-first cloud-native backend storage system for data controlled by Syndeia.
Syndeia 3.3 launched the new edition of Syndeia(tm) Cloud as a flexible cloud-native microservices platform that has an extensive REST API as well as the ability to run graph queries and show results in the digital thread through Syndeia(tm) Web Dashboard.
First, it makes Integrations with repository systems (e.g., JIRA, Jama, Windchill, Teamwork Cloud) accessible via Syndeia Web Dashboard Syndeia Web Dashboard and the Syndeia Cloud REST API.
It also introduces an innovative Digital Thread Explore feature that lets you visualize and explore relationships and artifacts across repository that are part of the digital thread. Imagine "friends of friends social network browsing" as a digital representation of your data.
Third, it makes possible to establish connections between the models and data across repositories using Syndeia Web Dashboard Syndeia Web Dashboard and the Syndeia Cloud REST API.
Fourth, our API first, cloud-native platform approach provides greater capability to the Syndeia REST API. With a wide range of Syndeia capabilities now available through our Syndeia(tm) Cloud REST API customers can access, analyze and create reports and analytics using a schedule-based and automated way.
In the end, Syndeia Cloud introduces six new integrations that include Aras Innovator, Bitbucket, Confluence, GitLab, Teamwork Cloud and SysML V2 API. It also brings modifications to existing integrations as detailed below.
Syndeia Cloud is generally deployed either on premises or as a virtual private cloud within the firewall of an organization's network.
Syndeia Cloud 3.4 brings a major upgrade of Syndeia Cloud 3.4, which is a significant upgrade to Syndeia Web Dashboard. With the ease of an advanced web browser users can connect to their corporate repository (e.g., Aras Innovator, JIRA, Jama Connect, Teamwork Cloud), browse and search content and create relationships to create digital threads, as well as query and display both intra-model as well as inter-model relationships.
The graph queries and the ability to visualize of the digital thread have been improved. It is possible to visualize and query graphs. Syndeia Web Dashboard can be described as an internet-based client for Syndeia Cloud that is similar with Syndeia extensions for SysML software (e.g., MagicDraw and Rhapsody) and Syndeia Standalone.
With both integrations with repository now in place, Syndeia Web Dashboard will serve as the main interface for Syndeia users going ahead.
The value in an open, federated and unrestricted digital web lies in the seamless access, traceability and data flows across boundaries of a wide range of tools and repositories for enterprise.
The Digital Thread Explorer(tm) unlocks the power of digital threads through Syndeia integrations. Users can begin from any object in any repository and begin exploring between models and within them similar to looking up "friends of friends" on the social network.
In the following example In the example below, a user is beginning to explore in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle assembly in Aras Innovator (red nodes). As they expand the assembly, they are able to see the components and sub-assemblies within Aras Innovator, e.g. Payload, Software Modules, and.
When the user expands these areas further, they are able to look up inter-model relationships for JIRA task (blue nodes) and software modules on GitHub (grey nodes). Extending the JIRA tasks exposes intra-model relations (links) between JIRA tasks. JIRA that connect to different issues.
