If you talk to an expert who has already taken a ride on a bike to Leh Ladakh they would surely have a mouthful of words, thoughts, and feelings to express about their experience on how it was to go on a bike trip to Leh Ladakh. There are many reasons and feelings that they would share to make us get a better idea about the same and to do the same. There are only a few of which I have listed below but talking to an expert could surely make it a better place to go.
Many itineraries that most of the travel and tour agencies provide would be properly fixed and they will have a fixed schedule for the same. They will have a specific time to spend at each location. Whether you like it or not you need to continue with the plan they provide, but when it comes to the case of bike tripping it is much more comfortable for trekkers with no fixed schedules or nowhere to reach on time. The bikers can stop at any point to take a rest or maybe to enjoy the spot and also ride at their own pace and not worry about the group moving ahead because it can be caught up later on. The fun and thrill that every bike rider has is parallel to Paradise. This adventurous bike trip can only be felt but cannot be expressed in words. Everyone who loves to ride a bike must take this bike trip once in a lifetime to know what it feels like, the mountain on all sides, the heavy wind hitting on the face, the engine's sound are some of the things that make the bikers move ahead in their trek.
Another factor that is concerned is the accommodation. When it comes to the case of package tours they take you on a flight to Leh, then provide accommodation in a hotel, and on the other side when it comes to the case of bikers, camping is so much easier and comfortable under the open clear sky. There would be other groups of people to accompany you during the camp as well as during the tracking. Some of the spots that most of the bikers would like to camp in are Sarchu, Jispa, and Pangong Tso. On this campsite, you can actually see the clear sky and take in the freshest air all around. There are also talks about this place that at midnight the milky way is clearly seen from here. Morey plains are said to be the most beautiful place to camp and this is the flattest place found in Ladakh.
In cities and towns during the summers, it is so hot that most of the people would prefer to run to the mountains. Here even if the sun is so close to the mountains the temperature does not exceed 25 degrees celsius. For a cool realm, Leh Ladakh is the perfect place to run to.
Most human beings would have the same daily routine followed every day. Both their mind as well as the body would be so tired after a point in time. Leh Ladakh bike trip would make a lot of difference to the physical and the mental health of humans. A trip once in a while to Leh Ladakh or a long road which is only of a width of a truck wherein on one side you will have steep trench downwards and the other side a high cliff standing tall. Not only that, a bike trip in which the wind from nature hits you continuously, beautiful views to admire, and a very nice destination to reach, would make the adrenaline rush in anyone. At Gata Loops you need to be really careful because it has 20 blind curves and even more hairpin bends just before you reach the Nankeen La region. This place is said to be the dreaded secions on the highway to Leh - Manali route. It also says that a man can slip a beat of his heart for a second as he moves ahead of these challenging routes.
Even during the summer, there are some places around Leh Ladakh that have snow not at 20000-25000 feet but at altitude which is just more than 15000 feet. These are mountain passes namely the Tanglang La, Kunzum La, Khardung La, Lachulung La, Chang La, and many more. Bringing a pair of shoes which is right for winter trekking would be probably a good idea for people who like to jump into the snow but not with their fort so that you can avoid the cold and the heart at once.
