Call me a weirdo, but I am one of those people who are beautiful inside a house but not preoccupied with the appeal of curbs. Given that we have been in our house for eight months, we have not had time to tackle the outdoor facilities. In these unstable times, it seems that we are all seeking the comfort of the familiar. What better way to ease our collective anxiety than to return to a familiar way of living. The traditional style of interior design that many of us saw in the homes of our parents and grandparents felt safe and comforting and stable at a time of so much uncertainty.
I love the combination of raw wood and classic blue and white decor. The ceiling treatment is a 4 x 8 birch box beam. The chandeliers and lighting are also similar. The chic coastal look is timeless, quiet, and easy to live with.
