World AIDS Day is observed on 1 December. As the name suggests, it is to show support for people living with HIV and those who have lost their lives due to AIDS. The topic of World AIDS Day 2020 is "Worldwide fortitude, mutual obligation". World AIDS Day was first marked in 1988 and was also the first International Day for Global Health.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in his message on World AIDS Day 2020, "Health is a human right. Health should be a top investment priority to achieve universal health coverage. "On this World AIDS Day, let us perceive that, to end COVID-19 and end AIDS, the world must substitute fortitude and offer duty. "

(AIDS) is a persistent sickness brought about by human immunodeficiency infection (HIV). The immune system of the person suffering from the disease gets impaired and the body's ability to fight the disease also decreases.
There are many reasons through which a person can be affected by AIDS. Let's take a look at some of them:
1. It can be contracted through body fluids such as blood, semen, pre-semen fluid, vaginal and rectal fluids, and breast milk of an infected woman.
2. Unprotected sex with an infected person can also cause fatal disease to another person.
3. Sharing of injected needles, razor blades, other things with a knife-infected person can also be a cause of contraction of the disease.
There are some symptoms of the disease that one should know about. Contains:
1. Fever
2. sore throat
3. Skin rashes
4. Nausea
5. Body ache
6. Headache
7. Stomach infection etc.

The disease is not completely curable, but there are quite a few protective measures that a person should adopt in their everyday lives to prevent contracting the disease. Preventive measures against HIV AIDS include using protection during sexual intercourse, sharing needles, blades, etc. with others, and building good body immunity.
